'ethno-archaeology' à la Binford

A French film crew from the Musée du Paris documents/researches an obsidian workshop just outside Teotihuacan. I tag along to sip pulque with the craftsmen and document the documenters. These craftsmen/vendedores earn a (decent) living from the selling of obsidian manufactured in the 'traditional' manner and design. The French archaeologists were interested in the sequencing of the obsidian knapping; but for their part, the craftsmen felt the French tipped poorly for their voyeuristic interests.
